In 2013, the studio was asked to create a proposal for a park in Istanbul’s Sisli district, located approximately six miles north of the city center within the sprawling Fatih Forest. Our design for Parkorman features several installations that provoke unique, personal experiences and reintroduce nature to city life.
Jump is one such installation that unfurls into a surprising, intimate moment between guest and forest. A footpath slowly rises above the ground, curving around tree trunks to provide different perspectives of the foliage. As the path floats further away from the ground, it twists into giant loops—with trampolines at the center—inviting visitors to change their movement from walking to jumping.
